NORDECO launches large-scale modernization

2025 is declared a year of big changes for NORDECO. A large-scale modernization of production capacities has begun at three production sites: in Cherepovets, Sheksna and Vokhtoga.

Today, NORDECO design is one of the leaders among manufacturers of boards for the furniture industry of Russia and the CIS countries in terms of production volumes. In order to remain competitive and meet customer demands, constant growth and development are necessary, therefore, in 2025, NORDECO design is updating its technological equipment. Work has begun at the enterprises in Cherepovets, Sheksna and Vokhtoga to replace chipboard and MDF lamination lines.

In Sheksna and Vokhtoga, the design stages have already been completed, preparatory construction and installation work is underway, the completion of which is scheduled for the end of 2025. The production of film-faced chipboard and film-faced medium-density fiberboard in the updated range is planned for the first quarter of 2026. The production volume of film-faced chipboard and film-faced medium-density fiberboard will increase by 20%.

In Cherepovets, due to limited production space, it will be necessary to additionally build a new workshop and warehouse facilities to implement the project to upgrade the lamination lines.

Ultimately, the equipment upgrade will not only preserve but also strengthen the company's position in the markets of Russia and the CIS countries, ensure stability, high quality products in compliance with environmental and industrial standards, expand the range and create new jobs at all three NORDECO production sites.
