On June 24, the Sheksna Wood Boards Plant, one of NORDECO's production sites, celebrated an event that not only we but the entire furniture industry had been eagerly awaiting: the official commissioning of two new lamination lines – at the VokhtogaLesDrev and SWBP sites!
A large-scale modernization project, with investments exceeding one billion rubles, is now yielding tangible results: production capacity has increased by 20%, and NORDECO's product range and quality are reaching new levels.
This growth was made possible by the launch of modern equipment, which dramatically expands the plants' technological capabilities. At SWBP, the new line, with a capacity of 11.5 million m² per year, produces boards in three formats – 2440x1830, 2750x1830, and 2800x2070 mm – with thicknesses ranging from 6 to 38 mm, giving furniture makers significantly greater design freedom.
Meanwhile, VokhtogaLesDrev launched a line with a capacity of 10.1 million m² per year, producing 2750 x 1830 mm formats with thicknesses ranging from 8 to 38 mm. Both lines are fully automated, from raw material handling to finished product packaging.
The official opening ceremony brought together the management of CPFP, VLP Group, and the SWBP and VokhtogaLesDrev enterprises, government representatives, key partners, and the equipment supplier, HAPCO, headed by Director Xu Kai. The implementation of this project not only strengthened NORDECO's position in the wood-based panel market but also contributed to the socioeconomic development of the Vologda region!
